Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills Training

An intensive program suitable for those seeking mediator certification and for anyone interested in developing conflict resolution skills and techniques. Also approved for 17.5 CLE's, 1.5 Ethics/21.25 LCSW Contact Hours.
Family Mediation Training
November 8-12 & 17-19, 2010; 5:00pm-8:30pm

Family mediation training is for those mediators wishing to seek family certification. Prerequisite for the training is attendance at the Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills Training course. Also approved for 22.5 CLEs including 1 Ethics/27.0 LCSW Contact Hours.
Advanced Mediation Certification - Circuit Court Civil Training
June 28 - 30, 2010; Mon. - Tues. 8:30am - 4:30pm, Wed. 9:00am - 4:00pm
Cost: Advance Payment $430; After May 20 price goes up to $450
Trainer: Tazewell Hubard
This course is an experiential program that covers complex civil mediations, that includes working with multiple parties, attorneys and subject matter experts. Program focuses on advanced strategies for mediation, intervention techniques and agreement writing. Also covers current issues, working with various referral sources, mediation styles, and addressing difficult situations.
Domestic Violence and Mediation
June 12, 2010; 9:00am - 5:00pm

Required for those seeking Family Mediation Certification and for Social Service Agencies that deal with issues of Domestic Violence.

Volunteer & Mentee Orientation (No MCEUs)

There are a lot of changes going on at the CMC and we are inviting all volunteers, whether you are a seasoned mediator or a new mentee, to come out a Volunteer Orientation. This is an informal event aimed at re-acquainting everyone with who the new faces are in Mediation Services, and new court paperwork, refresh best practices, clear up misconceptions, and where to find things like case files, water pitchers, and extra paperwork. The CMC also has a new updated Volunteer Agreement, and all mediators volunteering for the Center need to sign and submit an updated version. There will be a raffle drawing for certified volunteers for $60 gift certificate good toward mediation training.
Cooperative CoParenting
